What is it that makes this heart beat?
What is it that makes the Sun heat?
What is it that makes the planets go around?
What is it that keeps you and me on the ground?
What is it that gave birth to the sea?
What is it that lets you and I see?
What is it that gave flight to the birds?
What is it that speaks these words?
What that is and is not, is far-out,
Damned if you and I weren’t inspired to find out.
